Home baking recipe#2

Hi again, this time an even simpler recipe than the last one!!! Today's recipe is coloured meringues.
P.S.sorry there are no photos there will be some up in the weekend hopefully!

Ingredients:

2 egg whites
1/2 cup sugar
food colouring (any color you like)

Beat egg whites until they are stiff but not dry. Add half the amount of sugar and beat well. Repeat with the remaining sugar and a small amount of food colouring. Now beat the mixture until it is thick and glossy. Pipe or spoon small amounts of the meringue mixture onto a greased oven tray. Bake at 120 degrees for 1-1 1/2 hours or until the meringues are dry but not brown. Then leave them to cool down on a baking rack for a while...
When ready to serve I suggest either sandwiching two together with whipped cream or they would go really nice with chocolate dipped strawberries or a fruit of your choice.
MAKES 12

If you have any other serving suggestions or would like to tell me how they went just leave a comment for me and I would much appreciate it.

These are also a great birthday treat for all ages so try colourful meringues at your party or maybe take them to another persons party so everyone can enjoy
